We are a Canadian based private equity firm that makes control and minority equity investments in mid-sized private and public companies throughout North America.

We provide full or partial liquidity to existing owners or partner with owners seeking capital for organic or acquisition driven growth.

With almost 50 years of private equity, investment banking and operating experience collectively, we have developed a strong franchise. Strategy

Banyan typically invests in companies with revenues between $10 million to $200 million and actively looks for the following types of investment opportunities:

Buyout transactions from business owners looking to retire in the near to medium term

Privately held companies seeking to accelerate growth through acquisition, facilitate ownership change or recapitalize their balance sheet
Leveraged acquisitions of “orphaned” corporate divisions or small-cap public companies lacking strong institutional investor following
Micro and small-cap public companies seeking negotiated placements of preferred equity or equity-linked securities
Senior executives seeking a financial partner to acquire or invest in a company or sector in which they have intimate knowledge and a demonstrated track record of value creation
